Role Overview

We are seeking a Contract Quantitative UX Researcher who combines analytical rigor with a deep understanding of human behavior. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, seeks clarity through insight, and takes pride in improving everything they touch.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute research: Lead quantitative UX research studies, including survey design, statistical analysis, and behavioral data interpretation.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with designers, qualitative researchers, product managers, and engineers to inform product decisions.

  • Data analysis: Utilize programming languages (e.g., Python, R) for data manipulation and computational statistics to extract meaningful patterns from large datasets.

  • Insight synthesis: Translate complex data into actionable insights, frameworks, and narratives that influence product direction.

  • Continuous improvement: Provide consistent, thoughtful feedback to improve the work, even in small ways, and take initiative to lead conversations and delve into complex problems.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 4 years of experience in an applied research setting or similar.

  • Proficiency in programming languages used for data manipulation and computational statistics (e.g., Python, R).

  • Experience in survey design and statistical analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's or PhD in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Statistics, Psychology, Anthropology, or related field.

  • 3 years of experience working with senior leadership (e.g., Director level and above).

  • Experience conducting UX research on products, managing projects, and working in a large, matrixed organization.

  • Knowledge of descriptive, inferential, and multivariate statistics, including t-tests and ANOVA, and experimental design.

  • Proficiency in programming computational and statistical algorithms for large data sets.
