Role Overview
We are seeking a Contract Quantitative UX Researcher who combines analytical rigor with a deep understanding of human behavior. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, seeks clarity through insight, and takes pride in improving everything they touch.
Responsibilities
Design and execute research: Lead quantitative UX research studies, including survey design, statistical analysis, and behavioral data interpretation.
Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with designers, qualitative researchers, product managers, and engineers to inform product decisions.
Data analysis: Utilize programming languages (e.g., Python, R) for data manipulation and computational statistics to extract meaningful patterns from large datasets.
Insight synthesis: Translate complex data into actionable insights, frameworks, and narratives that influence product direction.
Continuous improvement: Provide consistent, thoughtful feedback to improve the work, even in small ways, and take initiative to lead conversations and delve into complex problems.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
4 years of experience in an applied research setting or similar.
Proficiency in programming languages used for data manipulation and computational statistics (e.g., Python, R).
Experience in survey design and statistical analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's or PhD in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Statistics, Psychology, Anthropology, or related field.
3 years of experience working with senior leadership (e.g., Director level and above).
Experience conducting UX research on products, managing projects, and working in a large, matrixed organization.
Knowledge of descriptive, inferential, and multivariate statistics, including t-tests and ANOVA, and experimental design.
Proficiency in programming computational and statistical algorithms for large data sets.
